Just a moment ago I wrote a post asking you guys to gear up for the upcoming jailbreak and now the jailbreak is live at evasi0n.com. In this post, I am writing step-by-step tutorial on how to jailbreak your devices running iOS 6.0, 6.0.1 or 6.1.

Supported devices:
1. iPhone 3GS
2. iPhone 4
3. iPhone 4S
4. iPhone 5
5. iPod Touch 4G
6. iPod Touch 5G
7. iPad mini
8. iPad 2
8. iPad 4
9. iPad 3
10. Apple Tv 2

Supported firmwares:
iOS 6.0
iOs 6.0.1
iOs 6.1

Things you need:
1. Windows, Mac or Linux system.
2. USB cable for your devices.
3. Evasi0n jailbreak tool. Download from evasi0n.com
4. iTunes. We won’t be using iTunes but it is required as it contains all usb drivers for iOS devices.

Important Instructions:
Backup your data using iTunes or any other method you prefer like ifunbox or iTools so that if something goes wrong while jailbreaking, you can retrieve back your precious data. Also, if you have protected your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with a passcode, please disable it for the time being. You may re-enable it after jailbreaking your device successfully. While the jailbreak process is running, do not interfere with your device or computer until you are told to do so. All set? Let’s begin.

Step 1: Open Evasion jailbreak tool and connect your device with your computer.

Step 2: Once Evasi0n detects your device, click Jailbreak to begin the process.

Step 3: After a few minutes, Evasi0n will ask you to to unlock your device (Slide to unlock) and click the newly created jailbreak icon.

Step 4: Unlock your device and tap on Jailbreak icon (only once) to proceed with the jailbreak process.

Step 5: Just after couple of minutes, evasi0n will complete it’s task and you can now safely exit Evasi0n tool.

Your device will reboot couple of times. Do not touch it until the slide to unlock screen appears. Congratulations! your device is now fully untethered jailbroken on iOs 6.x. You will now have Cydia app on your springboard that open doors to all iOS customizations.
