Flash CWM Recovery on Galaxy Note II Android 4.1.2

This guide will teach you how to flash CWM recovery on Galaxy Note 2 running 4.1.2 Jelly bean. CWM recovery (Clockwork Mod recovery) is used to flash custom roms and many other things on devices. If you want to install/flash cwm recovery on your Note II, continue reading. . .

Before you proceed, please note that this guide is only meant for Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100. Do not use this guide on other models. Verify your phone’s model by going to Settings >> About device. You should backup all your data and charge your phone’s battery to atleast 50% before performing this method.

Things you need:
- Your Note 2 must be rooted. Follow this guide.
Samsung Kies - Only needed because it contains usb drivers for all Samsung devices
Download Odin
- Download CMW recovery file

All set? Let’s get started.

Step 1: Turn on USB debugging on your phone by going to Settings > Developer options.

Step 2: Get into download mode. To do that, turn off your phone. Now press and hold volume down button + power button + home button for a few seconds.

Step 3: Connect your phone with computer, run Odin and click PDA button.


Step 4: Select the cmw recovery file you downloaded earlier and hit Start button.

Step 5: Odin will now flash clockwork mod recovery on your Galaxy Note 2 running 4.1.2. Once it does, your phone will restart.
