Root Galaxy Note Gt-N7000 on Android 4.1.2 official firmware

As Android 4.1.2 for Galaxy Note N7000 has been officially released by Samsung, users are looking to root their phone on the latest firmware. If you want to root Note N7000 on 4.1.2 jelly bean firmware, follow this guide carefully.

Things you need: 
Download and install Samsung Kies to ensure that you have all usb drivers installed on your computer.
Backup your data so that you could retrieve it in case of any mishap.
Download Odin flashing tool.
Download Root kernel for Android 4.1.2 Galaxy note N7000.

Step 1: Enable USB debugging by going to Settings >> Developer options.

Step 2: Getinto download mode. To do that, turn off your device and then press Home button + Power button + volume down button simultaneously.

Step 3: Once in download mode, run Odin and connect your device with computer.

Step 4: Click PDA button on the right and select the root kernel file you downloaded.

Step 5:  Now hit Start button and wait for Odin to flash the kernel.

Once odin finsihes it’s process, your device will restart and a ‘PASS’ message will appear on Odin which indicates that the process was completed successfully.


Congrats. Your Galaxy Note N7000 is now rooted on Android 4.1.2. You should now have Superuser app installed.
